The Aftermath of Orks vs Dark Eldar

Posted on behalf of Jon

Deep in the Webway, a lone Raider waited for the right moment. It had taken weeks to slowly lure the Ork fleet through space, the rusted ships of the primitive greenskins trailing clouds of oxidized metal through the cosmos. Once Delteron IV was in site, the Raiding fleet had descended into the atmosphere with the Ork ships mere minutes behind. The Warlord’s rage had been severe enough to ensure the greenskins never faltered in their pursuit. The Dark Eldar craft kept up the chase before disappearing into a carefully planned Webway portal, mere miles from the genetic super-human fortifications.

With massive explosions and thunderous impact, shaking the ground for miles, the Orks erupted onto the green fields of Delteron. Kabal forces kept close tabs observing from small portals in the fabric of realspace. The first strings of the emerging greenskins instinctively searched for things to fight, their natural predisposition to fight opponents leading them to the closest targets in the area, just as planned.

As reconnaissance was fed to the Raider waiting for its moment, the wyches of the Red Sorrow prepared their cargo. Six full doses of adrenalight were pumped into the “squig”, it immediately became twenty-fold more aggressive, biting at its bars in desperate attempts to snag one of its captors.

The command order came through the communicator, signaling the moment was right, the ork force was in the vicinity of the “Salamander” base. The wyches exchanged looks of cruel amusement and triggered the webway to open, and dumped the beasts’ cage into the physical plane. It hit the green grass of Delteron IV looking confused, but as angry and mean as possible. Phase one complete.
